Autistica

Autistica is the UK’s leading autism research and campaigning charity.

We worked with the team at the charity to build a new brand reflecting both the nature of autism and what the charity does.

We started with the fact that autism is inherently diverse and can be many things to different people. Rather than trying to simplify the picture we developed a brand proposition that makes a positive out of autism’s diversity. The new brand was shaped around the idea of ‘Making more of a difference’.

Autistica funds research, shapes policy and works with autistic people to make more of a difference.

“The lettering within the logo was inspired — the subtle way of showing difference in the letter forms was a brilliant alternative to rainbows or icons often used by other diversity-related charities.”

“We chose to work with The Nautilus because we believed they would bring a fresh perspective – and would deliver a brand that stood out from the crowd.”
“The Nautilus captured our ambition and authority, but also the strong connection we have with our community.”
“The Nautilus were ambitious about the brand, and understood exactly what we needed. They took on board our feedback and ensured that the final product was bold and inspiring. The Nautilus built a great relationship with the team and trustees, so that there was real trust and excitement in the finished result.”
